Steve Langan graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop. He is a Ph.D. student at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Public Health, where he concentrates on collaborating with physicians on writing projects. Langan has extensive experience in non-profit administration and resource building. He serves as Executive Director of HONOReform and HONOReform Foundation and represents the organizations on the Safe Injection Practices Coalition (and the New York and Nevada workgroups), the Alliance for Safe Injection Practices, and the Viral Hepatitis Action Coalition, among other coalitions.
